Indigo Textiles

Drawn to the color and history of indigo in the Lowcountry, Vanderpool began dyeing textiles with natural indigo, creating beautiful contrasts of deep blue and white. She now sells her popular functional art, ranging from dresses and scarves to tea towels and bedsheets at Charleston markets.

Vanderpool teaches natural indigo dyeing workshops at Redux Art Center and Blair Center for the Arts.
